数学 转移 Major (60 Credit Hours)

数学 encompasses logic and the methodology of reasoning. It provides the tools for critical thinking and decision-making. The Associate in Science in 数学 for 转移, 当t, degree prepares students for transfer at the junior level and with priority admission into the CSU system for further study in either pure or applied mathematics. A bachelor’s (4 year) degree in mathematics prepares students for a variety of careers, including science, 技术, 工程, 行业, 和教育. It can also help students prepare for advanced (master’s or above) degrees in business, 法律, 或医学. The 当t degree assures that students will complete the appropriate lower-division general education courses required by the CSU’s.

Pursuant to California Education Code 66746, students completing the Associate of Science in 数学 for 转移 Degree are expected to meet the following:

  •  Completion of no more than 60 semester units that are eligible for transfer to the California State University, including both of the following:
    • The Intersegmental General Education 转移 Curriculum (IGETC) or the California State University Gener-al Education - Breadth Requirements
    • A minimum of 18 semester units in the major with a grade of C (or P) or better while maintaining a mini-mum overall grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.0 in all CSU transferable coursework:
  • Completion of no more than 60 semester units that are eligible for transfer to the California State University, including both of the following:
    • The Intersegmental General Education 转移 Curriculum (IGETC) or the California State University Gener-al Education - Breadth Requirements.
    • A minimum of 18 semester units in the major with a grade of C (or P) or better while maintaining a mini-mum overall grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.0 in all CSU transferable coursework
